How disappointing. The QX56 lands in last place (fourth place) due to a number of short comings. Negative comments include:1) the QX56 squeaked and shimmied like a flock of teenage girls at a Leonardo DiCaprio movie2) rattles and shakes over dirt road mercilessly3) unimpressive structural integrity4) unrefined materials; materials on the dash and interior received universal thumbs-down (and all along I thought Nissan learned its lesson from the Altima criticism)

To those who are interested in the Motor Trend results: Infiniti QX56 AWD (4th), Lincoln Navigator Ultimate 4X4 (3rd), Lexus LX 470 (2nd), and Land Rover Range Rover HSE (1st).

Nissan does need to address squeak and rattle issues with the Armada/QX56 platform. They could make the interior more plush and car like if they wanted or even differentiate it more from the the Armada's as Ford did with the Navigator/Expedition, but then the critics would complain than the QX56 does not give them the rugged unstoppable feeling that they get when they're in an H2. But at the price (over $8,000 less than the next least expensive as tested Navigator) and especially with the drivetrain, the QX kills the other competitors. A 5650 pound vehicle that can't be very aerodynamic does 0-60 in 6.8 seconds and a low 15 second 1/4 mile. I cant wait for my ship to come in. I'm not an SUV guy at all. But the VK56 in a G50 or an even better sleeper, the FY33. Giddy Up!..:D

Haven't driven or ridden in either, but have seen an Armada hustled down the highway quite nicely. Appears to handle very well for the size.

I've had the honor of riding in an Armada. It's exhaust note was of a deep, sexy burble reminiscent of a tuned Chevy SB that one might find in a late model Vette. Throaty but not overbearing. Gave me that warm and tingly feeling...:cuddleOoohYeahOhhhYes!!!

Am I the only one, or does renault seem to be cutting funds on some of these issues?

I've sat in a QX56 and I agree with the critics the interior and dash are (a) plain compared to other vehicles in this category(b) fit and finish and quality of materials is cheap and not befitting of its price or even in its category.
