ive noticed the past week that my rb25 has started smoking only when i first got on it and let off and in between shifts...its not much smoke at all but its still there....i noticed on the pcv valve that it looked like it had some oil on it but i didnt think much of it and it rattled and had a good vacuum on it but when i pulled it off the other end there was oil all in the vacuum line and on the metal line going to the intake...im pretty positive thats what is causing my smoking problem i just wanted to see what you guys thought it might be.

Thanks

Very possible. The exhaust filter on my catch can plugged up and the engine started smoked like crazy until I pulled over and took it off.

ok well before i do buy it i just wanna make sure and see if anyone else has had my symptoms, at high revs it smokes and when first getting on it, and sometimes between shifts is when it smokes blue smoke.

Have you looked at your hot pipe for oil residue? Could be your turbo oil seals going or worse (rings).

yeah i looked at my hot pipe and theres nothing but my turbo has been making a louud whining noise ever since i had the swap finished. A friend of mine told me it could be my exhaust side of my turbo seal going but i havent had the chance to look yet.

Here's a video of when i first got the engine running (excuse the mess)

ok so i checked the shaftplay and it is pretty significant but im not sure if its really taht bad but anyways i went and made up an oil catch can to see if i am getting to much blow by in the cc...but this next video is a good representation of what my car is doing...theres no oil in the catch can yet and its still smoking....and i also have oil in my intercooler.

first pics:

this is the INTAKE PIPE right before the throttle body

and a pic through the throttle body.

and here is the video i just made...it was cold outside so thats what the white smoke is from but just watch as we rev it and when it comes back down to idle is when it smokes.

Thanks
