Bad Paint?

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

We bought my wife's (now I guess it's mine!!!!) EX35 new in 2010, we've tried to take really good care of the paint, recently my brother and I spent 8-9 hours polishing the entire car. What we noticed is that the hood is HEAVILY chipped and it almost looks like there are some oxidized spots in the paint.

The bumper basically is pitted to hell and back, I tried my best to clean it but it looks awful, none of my other cars have this type of issues with the paint..

What gives? I know Nissan is kind of famous for soft paint but this is horrible!!

Since you bought it new, why not ask the dealer from whom you bought it if they will repaint it as a goodwill gesture? GMC repainted my wife's van for free despite it having 95,000 miles on it and it was 7 years old ....
