Bad O2 sensor

i just hooked up my af gauge just because i wanted to have everything run into the engine bay. So i hooked it up to the OEM o2 and i dont get anything at all i would think that i would get something at least i. i hooked all the wires (12v constant, 12v ignition, and 2 grounds) into my stereo system wiring i wouldnt see a difference and i hooked the green wire that goes to the o2 right after the plug on the back of the o2 sensor.
