Bad o2 Sensor Symptoms?

What are the symptoms of a bad o2 sensor, other than the below. I am still using the o2 sensor that came with my engine.

I really don't like narrowband A/F gauges. I have one and it just kinda does whatever it wants. Sometimes it doesn't display anything, other times, it displays full rich, sometimes it works normally, sometimes it just jumps around doing whatever.

yea sounds like an 02 sensor issue, or wiring

And I highly doubt its the wiring. I didn't do it myself, they wired it up when they did my SR20 wiring.

If your running real rich...black stains on your white bumper : )...i guess a voltometer or whatever would check that for you....im not good w/ electronics...

but the A/F is reading off your o2..and sounds like its reading wrong...so its either wired wrong, or the 02 sensor is bad...not many other reasons : )

btw, the 02 sensor should always be changed when doing the swap...its not an expensive piece.

Does it make a difference if my A/F gauge is reading off of my ECU, and not directly off the o2 sensor?

EDIT: I have a cat, so i doubt there will be black stains on my bumper like most people running open cat have.

When i was running my ka with HS header it made a difference. Ran off the o2 sensor it was fairly accurate but it had its faults. I ran it off the ecu and it seemed to work a lil better (very lttle) but i didn't expect much from it since it was an autometer. Also i was told buy someone that it is better to have it ran off the ecu, his justification was that it reads what the ecu is seein which is better than just a reading off the o2 sensor? I really didn't listen to his **** much but maybe he is right.
