Bad night with my go-cart.
Well i just fixed my old go-cart. Its been out of service for almost 6 years now since the frame broke in halfWell ive been working on it for a week now to get it running. Well my granddad was worried about the welds breaking, they held up fine, but my rear axle didnt. Well i went to an empty parking lot around 8pm to ride it at full speed. Well the throttle has been sticking all day anyway, so wile i was out there i tryed to tweak the cable so it wouldnt stick. Well as im doing this it takes off at WOT. It does about 30-35 donuts all wile im throwing a lawnmower tire at it to try hit the kill switch ir break the spark plug to kill it. Wll i must have hit the steering wheel, and it takes off toward Folly Road. Its hits the curbing at 20-30mph and does about 2-3 flips then lands in the ditch bending the left rear axle(landed right on the drive wheel)and the left front axle. At least it didnt screw up the steering to bad. So now i have to try straighten my axle tommrow. At least i HAD it running great untill the wreck. But other then ****ing my cart up, it was a bad *** wreck. Now if only it could do donuts like that with me on it. The drive wheel has NO tread at all and it was almost new.

thats sounds hilarious. when i was smaller i had a go cart. i wrecked it into a bread truck parked on the friggin side of the stupid road. so we got it fixed, and i was so scared i wanted to sell it. but i thought i would try to ride it again, and the throttle stuck on it. scarred the piss out of me. so being the young scared child i was, i sold it. i wish i hadn't. it was fun.

yeah that night was pretty funny! that dang thing went absolutely crazy. i couldn't believe it myself. I have never seen a go-cart do that many donuts (with nobody on it that is). we were laughing until it decided to almost visit the road and a dodge truck. i was like oh sh** we were both praying it wouldn't go into the road. and it did try to go after him. It was a bada** thing until it hit the dang curb and thought it could fly. but ohh well we'll just go back and do it again after he fixes it.

thats nothing, working at a theme park I just got promoted to track manager or whatever..., starting up the go-karts one morning some of my co-workers thought it would be funny to lock the governa in to full throttle... So I start her up and there she goes takes off like a shot into the driving range. I jump on the back and thought I was going to be a dead man, luckily while doing 25-30 I managed to hop in the seat to realize this one was tagged "No Brakes". I really felt like James Bond when I reached back and found the kill switch while the go-kart was going psycho in the middle of the field. There must have been 15-20 golfers and 30 co-workers all laughing hysterically at me.

Now that response is more like the semi-literate Australopithecine moron we all have grown to tolerate!! Why the hell would someone rig a 240…I mean go-kart… to take off when you start it up “Mr. Track Manager” sir. Your subordinates would do this to you with a go kart that has "no brakes" no less??
