If anyone has followed along with what has been going on with me.I called the body shop today, and they are telling me they have to replace the entire roof of my car.

This really worries me.

So its been over two weeks and they keep on coming up with new bad news to tell me.

I fear the car will not be air tight after the repairs are done. Would this give you guys ground to trade it in when the car finally gets done?

If it ever does gets done.

Sorry, I'm not up on this, but why do you have to replace the roof, hail, someone walk across it?

If you search a little you can see the accident I got into. Had to replace the hatch, bumper and other odds and ends. Soon after my hatch leaked because of a bad 3rd brake light gasket. It got fixed right away and its been fine ever since.

My wife just raised our deductable before the hail hit. 1000 bones.

But the rest is covered, which is escelating into the 5000 range.

I don't know if I'd want it back after replacing the roof.Is there any way to write it off? Would the bodyshop be interested in buying it?

My wife did $7000 damage to her first Versa in a low speed accident when she hit a parked car after an ice storm. I ended up selling the car to the bodyshop who could fix the car for a lot less than they quoted the insurance company and they kept it as a courtesy car.

Can't they just throw some putty on it, instead of replacing the whole roof?

I'd be glad they're replacing structural pieces like the roof, if the damage is that bad. Assuming the insurance is paying and you've got a free rental, of course.

I would expect a good body shop to make the repairs correctly. Did you end up taking it to a Nissan body shop?

Has work already began on it? If not, you may want to try another shop. G. W. and Sons are probably one of the very best in the OKC metro, based on my past experience and what folks in the industry say.
