Bad news... it's my third

Received my third speeding ticket last night.I did deserve it because I know I was over the speed limit but there was a dark corvette that zoomed past me where the cop said he tagged me. He didn't pull me over for about three blocks so I think it's plausible he did mistake cars, or he tagged the corvette and thought it was me.

I know im young and should slow down but ahhhh its hard

Well this is my 2nd in the coupe, my first in the altima was a 50 in a 35 zone. my first speeding ticket was in my dads 4runner (65 in a 45 i was late for school)

That's why I bought a radar detector (Valentine 1). I find myself driving 60 all the time with my V1.

i usually do 100 MPH everyday (more like 85-100) but the thing is, you got to know when it is ok to go fast and when it isn't. i got 1 ticket for making a right turn without making a complete stop (didn't know the cameras can get you for right turns) and i got 1 speeding ticket on the hwy doing 80 MPH when everyone else was doing 80 also. another car pulled over and the cop actually went around them and came after my car when we were going the same speed! CHP in my area are *** holes, they block hwy entrance just to sit there with radar detectors, make other cars have to swerve around them just so they can try and catch someone going slightly above the speed limit ok, i'm done lol

I don't know what the laws are like in the US, but up here I've always either gotten the ticket halved, no demerits, or even both! If you ***** long and hard enough, they'll throw it out on grounds of "not being able to prove beyond reasonable doubt" (this one helps if you have a passenger in the car who's willing to testify with you that you 'weren't actually speeding'...haha)

ya thats what i hate about night time, you can't see them. i'm not worried about the radar detector or jammer or what ever because a lot of CHP in my area leave the radar and everything off now days and just estimate how fast your going and in court they consider it the same thing because they take some sort of test or something where they're supposed to know how fast a car is going just by looking at it or something

Nah. They have to prove that you are over the speed limit. They just can't say you're guilty without any evidence.

ya but there testimony is considered proof over here. it happens to hella people over here. they say that since the cops are specially trained to be able to tell how fast someone is going by just seeing them with there eyes they just listen to the cops..... really hard to win over here. pretty much just say not guilty and say you want to go to trial and hope and pray the cop don't show and it gets dismissed

im used to the roads in CT

i can usually tell where their will most likely be a cop waiting in the wings to spot a driver over the speed limit

i've recieved about 5 tickets in my life...3 out of those 5 were thrown out at court

and the other 2...1 was in a different state so it's not on my CT driving record

so i only have 1 ticket on my record...that was in my honda civic

Yea well out hear that military idea helps, doesnt it rob. I got pulled over for no licence plates, window tint, and blacked out tail lights, and the cop let me go because I was military. atleast uncle sam did something good for me for a change. lol

It's those damn north OC cops w/ nothing to do... My sis is soon to be a sheriff so she's gonna reg my plates so I don't get bugged by LEOs. I'm telling her to hurry up cuz I just got a fix-it for my tint by CHP in Blythe on my recent trip to Texas. I'm going speed limit (70) in right lane, everyone around us is going faster(80ish cuz they are passing us), CHP is on median, pulls out, cuts across the fast lane to pull my car over for my tint. Another 10 miles, I'd have been in AZ w/o stupid tint laws.
