Hello

I have z32 with A/T trans and vibration :)
Vibration are above >3000 RPM
For example :
when i go on 4th gear at a speed 100 km/h vibration don't occur
but when i turn "OFF OVERDRIVE" then vibration occur by 3th gear , at the same speed 100/h
what could it be ?
trans mount ? bad transmission ?

Don't believe it's the trans mount .. something else.. ..
You didn't really give a good discription of where the noise is coming from..
Have you removed the driveshaft lately ?

If it's RPM related, it's most likely not going to have anything to do with the drivetrain. If it's more speed related, then we can look to the DS carrier bearing, wheel balance, ect. Otherwise it's gonna most likely be engine related.

Is it only at 3k rpm? If its above 3k rpm, when does it seem to vibrate less/more? When does it possibly stop?

Im with ace, check the carrier bearing and I would also check the u-joints on the drive shaft.

It could be something to do with the driveshaft. I'm not certain if there is a dampener on the driveshaft like with other models but if that's broken or torn, that could be part of the issue. I'll throw this to the Z guys as they may be able to help you out a bit more than I can.

We do have a center carrier bearing on our stock 2 piece DS.

Well, in that case, I'll just merge the two threads.

However, when it would be center bearing or prop. shaft then the vibration would have been at> 20 mph
....irrespective of RPM

Exactly. Which is why I suggested it may be some kind of engine balance or torque converter problem. Have you verified that you are firing on all cylinders and your timing is in check?

Now I'm in the exchange timing belt .I'm waiting on parts.
Old tensioner was bad but engine at neutral work nicely -6000 RPM - no vibrations ....maybe under load.
