Bad Motor Mounts

Car: 2004 Altima "Pearl White"

I took my 2004 Altima 6 cylinder in to the dealer because it was making a strange pumping noise every 10 seconds. The mechanic says its bad electric motor mounts and to bring it in when to noise gets louder to be replaced. Does that make any sense?
