just installed my q45 maf, now my safc is reading 22% airflow when turned off and 34% when turned on at idle. it goes up as i get on the throttle. i know it's wired right 'cus it worked before my old stock maf went bad. i have the correct in/out settings, confirmed with apexi. does this mean my safc is bad? don't have a voltmeter to check voltage on the maf

also my car runs like crap so i know the ecu isn't reading the maf right either, but it will rev past 3 now which it wasn't doing before with my old maf.

Was there a write up you followed? Did you readjust the SAFC settings?

there was no write up i followed, just used common sense after finding the 12v/5v/ground for both the maf's to wire up. i did readjust the safc to 1 in for the q45 maf and 5 out for the s14 ecu. i actualy just got back from picking up my friend's zenki maf, i am going to try that and see what happens, but i'd like to upgrade my maf anyway because after the break in period i'm going to be in need of this q45 maf lol

ok i put in the other s14 maf and now its doing something else. i set it back to the 5 in 5 out and it won't stay on. it doesn't misfire or pop at idle anymore, just won't stay on for longer than a couple seconds. doesnt rev up when i open the throttle either. airflow reads right this time though. this is blowing my day, everything was working fine until i started f*** with the timing
