I cant find the answer to this one. My car's idle has a mind all it's own. Sometimes the car will idle at 800rpm. Sometimes 1100rpm. Sometimes 1500rpm. Sometimes it wont idle, it stalls. Also, when I stomp on it, the car kinda pulls hard, then levels off, then pulls hard very irradically. Any idea's on this one? I dont have a vacuum leak. I have already checked that.

MAF is a possibility, but also could be your fuel pressure regulator or one of your injectors.

try wiggling the harness along the valve cover try gently pushing toward the rear of the engine compartment without lifting it up. then try pushing down on the harness near the rear of the valve cover.if it gets worse try lifting the harness up if it clears up. you could have one of 2 problems in that harness. the first could be a poor soldier joint about in the middle of the valve cover area in the black conduit. the second could be a short at the rear where the harness has rubbed the paint off of the valve cover. the short wont be where the paint has rubbed off but under the harness where the conduit makes contact with a bolt on the valve cover.

Well, all the injectors appear to be spraying fine. And I have a brand new Walbro in it so I know it's not the pump. I'm upgrading to a SARD FPR real soon so we will see if thats the problem. I will also try checking the harnesses as suggested. Thanks.

if you have the dohc engine what i said doesnt apply that it for the sohc engine. if you have the dohc i would agree your maf may be going south.
