Well, I went after a leaking injector the other day on my '89 240. It was the number 2 cylinder. I figured while I was at it, I would inspect the other injectors for dammage and cracking around the nozzle. First, a note that is not in the FSM or that I have not seen here. Discharge the fuel pressure as noted in the FSM. Then disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel rail and plug it. If you dont, you will siphon gas all over yourself and your car, even though the fuel pressure has been reduced!!! Uggg..... Second, be very carful when you remove the injector from the fuel rail. If you do what I did and pull hard, it might crack the injector nozzle against the intake runners!!!!! So, here is my question. I dammaged the plastic nozzle doing exactly this. How bad will this effect my running? Has anyone else done this?
Thanks in advance,Scott
