Bought my JIC FLTA1 coilovers back in September, and love them. Just one thing bothered me...when I would go over bumps the front left would make a "psssstt" noise. Well after about 3K miles of normal highway driving that noise turned into a binding/grinding noise. Not good.

Pulled the coilover out and the area below the boot had fluid all over it. Not good.

Had to send it back to JIC so they can get me a new one. Oh well, for now my car is on jackstands.

Has anyone else had any problems with JIC? I have never heard anything bad, but its disturbing after so little use. Hopefully it was just rare case though.

Well I finally got my damper back. My cars front end was on jackstands for 7 weeks. Much longer than the 1 week turnaround I was told. I am glad JIC replaced the defective product for free, but I will never buy thier products again. I am not sure if it was lack of effort to put the part in the box and send it, or maybe thier whole warehouse and shipment system is screwed up. Either way, live and learn.
