so my car was running like **** on the way home a couple of days ago. it was bucking, i check voltage on tps, good. switched MAF, good. checked coil packs, good. changed sparkplugs. change fuel filter. i took off the injectors and had a buddy start the car ( i know thats bad) i looked like the injectors are clogged which could cause the car to run lean, too much air not enough fuel. the walbro 255 was the first thing i did to the car after the swap...like 2 months ago, now since i have to get new or better injectors what do you guy think is the best way to go...does nissan make an injectior that would fit the sr20 redtop? i work for honda so i get a discount at nissan...i was thinking the 300zx? not sure or does anyone know what the best way to go is? thanks

if u plan to get some upgrades soon than buy new injectors, like nismo and if ur on a budget and keeping the same setup for now than just get replacement, used ones go for about $100 for 4 here or ebay

well if you want brand new injectors you can get 1995 300zxTT injectors(purple plug) these have no pwerformance advantages they are still 370cc. if you want upgraded injectors make sure you understand that with biger injectors you also need a tune with it. you cant just slap on 550cc injectors and expect the car to run right. you need to have your computer tuned for it or get a wide band 02 and a saf2. i beleive the last time i looked at new 300zx injectors they were like $175 for ONE!!!!!! if you want to talk to someone about the tuning aspect i suggest going to rs-enthalpy.com and email them they rock. hope this helps.

Are you sure that the injectors are bad or just clogged try some fuel injector cleaner and see if that clears them up. Hey 5 bucks is better than 100.

Why did you say it was bad to pull the fuel rail off and crank the car over? How else should you test the injectors?

well i thought that if you pulled the injector off and cranked the car you could put your self at risk of catching something on fire...ill buy another bottle of injector cleaner and see if it clears up beacuse i did it once already...do i need a full tank of gas, or a half of tank...?

To the thread starter. The injector cleaner bottles have the directions on them. I believe they say to fill the tank then add the bottle afterwards.

What about sending your injectors off to get cleaned?

After trying the Lucas transmission gear oil stabilizer for kicks...I will never try another Lucas product again. Good luck with it.

Take fuel rail off of intake manifold again with fuel lines connected and crank engine to see if all four injectors spray fuel or not.
