I left my parkiing lights on for more than 2 hours the other day and after that ive noticed my rpm goin down like its gonna stall while on idle,i waited if it will stall but it didn't. and then yesterday i accidentally locked and closed my door with the keys inside and the door is halfway oped but it got locked so the interior lights were left open for about an hour, and after what happened the situation got worst,my car is stalling..could that be the battery got discharge? what about the alternator isnt it supposed to be it will recharged or is it the battery even the alternator is recharging it,it is still not good and need to replace it?
or its just a coincidence and the culprit is the maf or etc?

its definitely not the battery. you can remove the battery from the car while its running and it wont change anything.
are your rpms bouncing a bit before it stalls?
youy might have bad plugs, bad/dirty MAF
dirty injectors. run some lucas injector cleaner

but 100% sure its not the battery

i think i already know the problem, cuz i just changed my oil with royal purple. i used to hake an automatic ek,after i changed my oil with royal purp and after that when im on idle its like im gonna stall and i dont know what's goin on before because it doesn't have a tachometer. and now its like they have the same problem, the mechanic used 10w30 tho i think its not the thickness probably its the oil,but ill still try to put lucas and clean the maf. spark plugs are just changed last year

I put 50 wight in my car during the summer it worked fine, oil shouldn't be the issue. I'd check the voltage coming from the ignition coil, if its reading anything lower than 12 volts that may be your issue, but don't change the coil right away check to see if your getting 12 volts from your battery and alternator, if they both check out alright try cleaning the carbon out of the distributor. Also, you may have to adjust the IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) which is located on the side of the intake manifold towards the bottom.

hope this helps good luck.

PS if you need additional info on the IACV and how to adjust it try using google.

had that problem turned out to be a bad fuel injector and i would also take a look at the idle sensor but could also be some corrision in the wire harness to the fuel injectors

its quite possible when i used to turn my fan one when i had corrosion in th wire harness it got worse idle but pull out the plugs and see if it has blue crust or powder around or inside of the take pics of the wires to if possible

i had a simmilar issue a while back..random shut off and stuff like that...turned out to be the altinator..inside it..there is a voltage regulator built in..if it goes out..it does all kinds of crazy stuff..i took mine down to have it tested..and it passed...just to narrow my gremlin down..i changed it anyways..shure enough..never had the issues again.

ok so i put lucas fuel injector couple weeks ago and its still the same, i just cleaned the maf and so far my idle is good now.
when i start it up rpm is in 1500 and then after it settle down and warms up it is slowly goin down bit by bit until it reach 700/800 rpm on idle( prolly cuz of the climate/weather? ). i hope it would stay like this :mike . tnx guys

thanks man..the loss of traction guys are decent folks, we are just normal guys who love 240's and the ka24de motor..and we try to help everyone we can to keep our area growing in the drift community...we drift, drag and road race...we are way layed back man...sorry to hear about your area..maybe you should try starting a team man..that way all the good folks you know can lean on eachother in time of need at a local level and grow in skill together..keep me posted on what ya think.
