My CA cold started just fine when I first got the car..

dont know if it has anything to do with it(but I'm assuming so)... but I lost nearly all coolant a few weeks ago and got the car pretty hot(according to the Greddy water temp gauge, but not the stock dummy gauge).

and now at cold starts.. meaning overnight.. I have to give the car gas to keep her alive for 20-30 seconds before she'd idle on her own.. after that, she'll idle between normal idle(around 800rpm) to 1100rpm.Shouldn't cold cars idle a little higher ?

Is there an idle control valve or something that needs cleaning or adjusting?

Oh ya, I haven't compression tested yet... even though I should have.. but the car pulls like it did before the overheat!

Yes, there is a valve underneath the throttle body. It has a plug that plugs in the top near the temp sensor and it has 2 vac hoses attached to it.
