Bad idle, and bad smell??

When I come to a stop, and sit at the light idling, my car shakes bad, motor and trans mounts seem fine, I just changed out the plugs and wires with some NGK's, and also swapped for a 300zx fuel filter, nothing helped, and also, after high rev's and slowing down, I get this putrid rotten egg smell coming out from underneath the car, I took it to my buddies shop and he said thats just the cat burning up unburnt gas, and that its fine and not clogged up, anyone have any idea of whats probably causing my shaking?

I would say you either need one of two things.

1. Ecu reprogrammed, this happened to me in my old car. My car would idle like crap at a red light and shake bad.

or. . .

2. Replace your distributor and dis. cap. I bet it is problem #1 though. Good luck on your hunt.
