bad hesitation around 2000 - 3000rpm

my car has a bad hesitaion threw 2000-3000 rmp i would like to know if any others have / had this problem and how they fixed it.

My car used to have hesitation between 2800 and 3500 - the pedal had to be pushed more, and the engine got louder, when I put in a new transmission it fixed it.

my car was having the same problem.But it only does it when the car is warmed up, i think mine might be a o2 sensor.I will find that out tomorrow, im replacing it.Ill let u know.

i think it's your MAF... check your ecu for codes to be sure. Does it sound like a WRX when you rev it?

Is your clutch slipping, that RPM band has quite a bit of torque. Otherwise I would check the air fuel mix and go from there.

well im changing the fuel filter and im getting new injectors plus some others ill c how that goes

hey dont waste all of your time/money buying new injectors... geez... why don't you just make sure they are working before you go through the trouble of yanking them out? I can tell you how to do this. Check your ecu for codes. U gotta troubleshoot, it's the only way.

if your maf truly was havingproblems.u prolly wouldnt be able to rev past 3k.check your o2 sensor.does this problem only happen when your car is warmed up?if so then it maybe your o2 sensor cuz it maybe wouldnt be sending your ecu the signal to make the fuel more lean

I had the same problem. Turned out to be just the fuel filter, but I see you're planning to change that out already. Hopefully that'll work out for you.

i had a similar problem with a car that had been sat in a garage for 3 years. drained the old gas, put in new gas with STP fuel system cleaner, and a new fuel filter. i doubt this is your exact problem, but it could be a bad batch of fuel?

also, same car wouldn't idle for **** after we got it fired and revved poorly until we realized we had taken off the air box to poke around at fuses. once that went back on, the car was rev-a-licous. maybe the sensor in the fuel box (air temp?) ate ****.
