bad head gasket?

here in the past couple of weeks...ive noticed that around the outside of my muffler, it looks like its been getting wet...not the whole thing...just around the edge of the muffler. even on dry, sunny days. it burns oil a little bit, but its always done that and ive never noticed it before...could this possibly mean that my head gasket is goin out on me? please fill me in w/ some info so i can get it fixed if needed....thanks a lot!!

water is a normal product of combustion--do a compression check if your worried
