Would bad gas cause my car to run rough and die when I hit the gas pedal?

I just got my car running...kinda. It idles very rough and then when I give it gas it dies. Also still not getting anything to my tach...

Last night it wouldn't even idle but I just cleaned the throttle body and used some MAF cleaner and it idles rough and dies. I'm searching through threads ATM but just wondering if anyone had any direct info. Thanks

Also I think the car has sat for about 6-7 months without starting...that's why im wondering about the gas.

7 months? dude you know you need to drain the tank if you let the car sit like that.
drain the tank, put new gas in and some cleaner/treater stuff. and maybe clean the injectors and change the filter. she what she does then

Happens every time I eat Taco Bell.

If you can, replace the filter. If not then I wouldn't really worry about it. Just put some injector cleaner/treatment in the new gas.

So wait you bought it as a shell and dropped a motor? I would check other things and try and see what the missfire is coming from. It could be something simple.

My car was sitting for about that long when I wrecked it and left it with the same tank of gas. I could start it tho, and I did every now and then and even drove it with no front end lol. It usually ran fine for me. I thought you had to drain it if you were ganna sit it for over a year, but I could just be talking out my arse.

+1
i used it on a dodge 318 once and it did wonders. some in the tank, some i let siphon a bit at a time through the TB...smoked like a mofo but after it was all done with the smokeshow, it ran 100% better
