This just started today. When driving my car it would die randomly while driving, i can see my air fuel gauge go all the way to lean and there is no throttle response and my rpms just slowly drop. If i put it on nuetral the engine just dies. I would have to mess with the throttle until it finally sputters back (air fuel ratio goes to rich now, like normal). But most of the time the fuel doesnt come back and my engine just dies,a nd i have to crank her until she finally starts again..

Could this be a sign of my fuel pump going bad? Is there anything else i should check for?

I would try a new fuel filter and use worm style clamps on the pump and not the factory clamps if a 255lph pump was installed.

Changing the filter didnt seem to do anything, im going to change the fuel pump next. (have to wait till it arrives) I'll let you guys know if that worked or not. (if you have any idea what else it might be let me know)

could be leaky injectors (does it happen more at high load?) or mass airflow sensor (the stock MAS's suck, but the problems usually dont start abruptly I dont think) - this is all after you change out the fuel pump, of course.

Thanks for your advice. I've ordered the fuel pump and as soon as it arrives im going to put it in. I'm not using a MAF, i am using the VPC so i doubt its my MAF lol. If the fuel pump doesnt solve the problem im going to check the injectors and fpr. I'll let you guys know what works lol. Thanks!

Also, it happens randomly, sometimes under load, sometimes just cruising, and sometimes at idel at a red light. Its random.

I guess it could be a bad TPS.

It sounds like a bad connection somewhere. You might clean all of your grounds really well.
