bad Fuel pump on 89 240sx?

hey guys, i was driving back on the highway from LA yesterday and came upon traffic as suspected. the traffic was moving slowly (car move 15 feet, stop, then repeat same process). it took about an hour and half before traffic ran again. and then after driving for about 20 min, there was another traffic jam in pomona. it was about 20 min long, but after traffic started clearing, i drove for about 5 min then all of a sudden my engine started to die out. i stepped on the clutch, downshift to ever gear to find out that none of the gear is letting me accelerate when i step on the gas.

so do you think it's a bad fuel pump, spark plug, or something else. i just replace my fuel filter today with the z32 fuel filter.
