I PLACED A ORDER RIGHT BEFORE THE NEW YR FOR A BASIC VQ SWAP KIT(S13). HERE'S WHAT PROCEEDED TO HAPPEN-

1ST-THEY SHIPPED THE KIT IN 3 DIFFERENT BOX @ 3 DIFFERENT TIMESTOOK 6 WEEKS TO EVEN GET A CROSSMEMBER(YET ON THEIR WEB PAGE THEY SAY "WE HAVE PLENTY IN STOCK WAITING TO SHIP"

2ND-THE PRICE CHANGED FROM $900(STATED ON THEIR WEBPAGE) TO $1450.00 + SHIPPING

3RD- WHEN I TOLD THEM I WAS RETURNING THEIR KIT AND WANTED A FULL REFUND BECAUSE OF THE REASON LISTED BELOW:

*transmission BRACE WAS OVER AN INCH OFF FROM LINE'N UP.*THE ENGINE CROSSMEMBER W/MOUNTS THEY PROVIDE DIDN'T EVEN LINE UP.*THEIR MOTOR MOUNTS (STUDS) DIDN'T EVEN FIT INTO THE VQ MOUNTS(BUT THEY STATE ON THEIR WEBPAGE "DIRECT BOLT IN KIT, NO MODIFICATION REQUIRED) AND ONCE I HAD TO DRILL THE HOLES OUT, THEN ONLY 3 THREADS OF THE MM STUD EVEN CLEARED.

THIS IS JUST A FEW OF THE PROBLEMS WITH THE KIT. LET ALONE THE COMPANY OWNER "ANDREW" HAD THE NERVE TO TELL NOT TO CALL, THEY WOULD CALL ME, WHEN I INQUIRED ABOUT A TRACKING NUMBER.

THEN WHEN I CALLED TO INFORM THEM THAT I WAS RETURNIN THE KIT, ANDREW CALLED ME A THEIF QUOTE" THANKS FOR STEALING MY IDEAS".

WOW I GUESS ONCE YOU GET THE COVER OF A MAJOR IMPORT MAG, YOU NO LONGER HAVE TO KEEP YOUR DIGNITY. SO FOR ALL THE S13/S14 OWNERS OUT THERE. JUST BE WEARY OF THEM.

I think that dude with the VQ swap competition thread used them and had problems too...

He had a big budget though and blew it off like it was nothing. I'd have been pissed if I had all these problems!

If you paid by credit card call them and dispute the charges. The item sold to you differs from what you purchased and do it that way. They will surely call to make a deal after that.

Its funny how its 'their idea' I'm sure people, including myself, thought about putting a VQ is a S chassis long before there was a kit for it. Some people have a lot nerve. I bet they stole the idea from my head...I need to start wearing my aluminum foil hat again.

Personally, I would use stock R33 and S13 parts to make a VQ swap.

Instead of paying for 'So Called Bolt-On', I would invest on a grinder with cut-off wheel and a nice aluminum welder.

holy hell batman! i actually agree with soravia.

you wanted to bolt in a z33 motor to a 20 yr old car? bolt in? fab stuff for sure man, its always going to fit like YOU want, when YOU do it. dont complain when you havent fabbed it yourself. granted you probably dumped a ton of money into their setup, and i would be pissed too, but to expect a plug and play setup is kinda silly. never gonna happen.

good advice and very true. if they were advertising it as a plug and play kit, vqswap.com is to blame, but i'd be skeptical of a plug a play kit though

Ask him how much the Nico community likes him, and his "awesome" customer service

Honestly I can/will complain til I the customer is happy- after all those shops only exsist because of the customer- but yes I am much happier with the setup we came up with. allows for the use of factory motor mounts(CPV35) and everything is servise'bly now- once it's cleaned up and painted will do my best to post pics. DARN SHAME IT CAME DOWN TO THIS- GUESS HE THOUGHT HE WAS DEALING WITH A CHILD, NOT A COMBAT TESTED VET- WELL WISH HIM THE BEST OF LUCK. -LATER /SGT CLARK-617TH MP CO

Good to Hear that all is taken care of. It sucks that you had to go to the extent that you did to get what was yours. Def post some pics of your car and swap! Its always great to see someone else's approach to a problem and how they solved it!

They are not handling this professionally at all, and you better spread the word, so other people won't get ripped off or go through headache like you have.
