First off, this is an S14sr20det=>S14. Ok, here's the deal, i'm getting no spark. I'm getting power to and from my ignitor. The coilpack harness is getting around 12 volts with the key turned over. The coilpack harness itself is grounded. Timing is set. I've even thrown a couple more grounds to the firewall and the frame to be safe. Does this mean a bad ecu? My ecu does not have a diagnostic screw on it. I've talked to someone who says that there is no screw on an s14 ecu (WC), is this true? I'm trying not to spend $400 on a new ecu that isn't my problem. There is no one I can find in my area that I can swap with either. So far, i'm regretting buying the S14 sr, because there are far less people running them, and even less credible info that I am able to find.

Correct there is no diagnostic screw. If you think your ECU is fried open it up and look for a charred circuit on the boards.

I have opened it up and I found nothing unusual looking. Jeff from heavy throttle said while starting it, smell the ecu and if there is a burnt kinda smell, its probly bad. I didn't smell anything.

It sounds like some incorrect wiring, who did the wiring?

Listen for your fuel pump and check injecteors with an open switch and check if your getting a spray also well spark... if your not getting any of those then more likely you do have a bad ecu....

Wiring Specialties did all of the wiring, so I don't think there is a problem there. I'm definitely getting fuel, just not spark.

well you cant check for codes without the screw and without the engine running..well i take that back..for the s14 sr ecu's there is a way to check for codes but i am unsure im an s13 guy..but you still need the engine running

You do not need the engine running to run codes. The ECU checks most of the circuits even without the engine running to make sure the engine is going to run.
