Hi you guys I have a 99 Q45 (Y33) and was wondering if I did the right thing or not. I flushed my transmission at 150,000 miles for the first time since I owned the car and I have owned the car since about 120,000. I dont know what the previous had done but I did hear that sometimes it was bad for a person to flush their transmission when its never been flushed before because of loose necessary parts being flushed out causing early slippage. I dont know if that is common on Q45s but could that be the case with my situation?

what did the old fluid look like? color, smell, etc.Did you drop pan and clean/replace strainer? how did they look?If pan/filter not serviced during flush, might want to do so,especially if fluid looked bad-did they just exchange the fluid,or add a chemical cleaner to circulate before the exchange?

BG or Sun machine? Complete mechanical fluid exchange?

Always good to do, but cannot restore an abused transmission, only extend its service life by renewing the fluid and some cleaning with a chemical flush.
