Ok here it goes well I went wheelin w/ my buddy who has a 90 bronco w/33's got stuck on some s*** that a sami would have made. So, I pulled him out and right after I cut the side wall of my tire straight thru to make a long story short my spare on the roof was good but the damn thing didn't want budge 3 hrs of f***ing with it w/thunderstoms rollin. I took a screw out of my trim in the interior and screwed it into the side wall pluged the hole really nice almost like it was ment to be.

No sh*t thats how I lost one of my fender flares! I had a badass blowout on the interstate doing like 60mph. The damned tread just pealed off like it was a cheapass retread! (theres a thread around here somewhere when it happened like a year ago)

That sucks but it happens to all of us at some point out there wheelin'

Crazyness. Luxury on the inside, mud madness on the outside, you figure out why the hell you couldnt get your spare off? Kinda pointless isnt it?

fukinitupagain, did that tire take out your mirror to? (its smashed in your pic)

never seen a tire blow like that before, did the tread just come off or did the tire loose pressure

Ripped off fender flare, mirror & put some nice marks up the side of the Pathy. & yeah it went flat but I drove on that thing for like 3 miles until I got to a decent neighborhood (toughest rims I've ever seen)

This is the spare tire carrier for my roof rackAt the top of that is the one Lug that came 2/3's of the way off and stoppedit was supposed to be pressed into place just like the lugs on the truck itself but in the process of man handling it broke loose and was free spinning. Why can't anyone build stuff that works!

I tried everything in my arsenal to break it loose but it wouldn't budge

so here it is the hole in the tire was almost like someone took a kife and punctured the top of the sidewall. I have had large sticks and other stuff break a sidewall but never anything so tiny and the fact that 1 f***ing bolt stopped me from changing that tire and continue really pissed me off.

The snorkel is a long story but all you R50's out there should seriously think about what a great investment it is. I wish i had it on when I went thru a puddle and died 3/4's the way thru it. the insurance nearly totaled my 2 yr old Infiniti cuz the cost of the new engine and labor alone was a little over 12 g's

PRICE for gas in your R50 $38.00 PRICE for testing your R50 offroad 27hrs and a case of beerInsurance paying for a brand new engine

PRICELESS

No the tread spilt down the middle of it when it ripped off It wasn't bald thats how it ripped off)

Here was the tire about a week before the incident (front passenger's side)

I've never seen a LT MT tire do that before but I'm not surprised considering I have ProComp tires as well and I hate them w/ a passion. I have been looking for a good reason to replace w/Goodyear MTR's or BFG's MT's. Nothing like a wound in the sidewall of a POS to act like a sign from god that it's time to make an upgrade!
