Was visiting a friend in Miami last weekend and getting wheeled around in his 2000 Volvo C70 Convertible..... Nice enough car (big back seat, fully automated top with glass window), otherwise bland (and horrible ride).
It has 18,000 miles and he's getting an awful crunching sound from the right wheels when taking sharp turns. I'm assuming it's the CV joints making the noise.
I know this is a normal replacement item much later in a car's life, but seems strange at 18,000 miles (well, it IS a Volvo.... I think the C70/S70/V70 have a pretty bad track record).
If I tell him to go to the dealer and demand new CV joints under warranty, will they play along?
