A friend once told me if you think the clutch is going bad rev the car up to about 3000rpm and dump the clutch if you burn rubber and take off it still good if you dont burn rubber and the engine just revs time for a new clutch. The other way is if your car is reving at 5ooo rpms in 5th gear and your speedo says 40 its time for a new clutch goood luck :)

It's tough to explain, but it should feel bad. You should notice a difference in how you accelerate.

The best way to check the clutch is to get it warmed up and take off in first and go to 3rd or 4th and stand on it and see if it slips. Another way is to start up a hill in 1st and shift to 3rd and check for slippage.
