I've never consumed anything so horrible. I dont know what diarrhea tastes like, but I imagine it would be something similar to this:

Thats my first and last time with this brand. Fortunately I still have eight pints Guinness left.

I've never had, or even seen, SA's cream stout, but I've had others. I like cream stouts, need to look for this one. But tis true, nothing beats a good Guiness.

Andrew: Thats exactly it.

The head was frothy and hollow like a diet cola. There was a total lack of richness and fullness.

Then going down, it was too fizzy and pedestrian. I like my dark beers to be a rich, full, liquified meal.

I've never liked Sam Adams much anyway. Guiness is alright, but it's as you said Jesda, it's like a liquified meal. It's like getting high and eating a sandwich at the same time. You've got a buzz and a full stomach. Usually just Ales or Pilsners for me. Can't go wrong with Pilsner Urquell or Kirin Ichiban

You have to consider the type of beer, not the brewer. For people that like cream stouts, I bet it's good. Sam Adams makes some awesome mid level beers, as mentioned both the Summer Ale and the Octoberfest are awesome.

HAHAH, Heinekin a heavy beer?! Apparently my friend you are not a beer drinker.

But yeah I'm not a big fan of Samuel Adams, especially after moving over here where the Guinness is fresh and delicious.

I hate drinking light beer. If I have no other choice, I'll opt for Amstel or Coors light but the taste just isn't there. I'm not concerned about a few calories and carbs. I never understood that about girls. I mean getting drunk isn't exactly healthy but they can try to justify it by drinking somehting that's light?

If I want to get smached, I take shots. If I want to enjoy my alcohol, I have beer or wine.

Sam Adams is, IMO, a fairly average beer. Its main positive attributes are that you can find it everywhere and it's usually not terrible.

Anyway, I would most definitely take a Guinness over *any* stout ever produced by Sam Adams.

I've also had good luck with the stouts brewed by some of our local micro-breweries.

Coors Light = Ginger Ale with the faint aftertaste of cheap beer.

And ,yeah, while I wouldn't say Heineken is good, it certainly isn't heavy.

Also, Corona...there's a reason why you need that lime.

Growing up, my dad was a homebrewer, and both my parents were (and are currently) in a "beer club" that gets together every month to taste different beers and enjoy a sunday afternoon. So I've had the chance to tasted MANY different types of beer and cultivate a taste for what I like. I generally don't like the more bitter beers, but I like a good full bodied hoppy beer. There are so many types of beer, for example; Abbey, Barley Wine, Bitters, Dry's, Dopplebock, Ginger Beer, Green Beer, Frambozen, Eisbock, Black, Bock, Marzen... Most of those are Lagers. Then you have tons of Ales too, like Pale Ale, IPA, Irish Ale, Brown Ale, Alts, and of course Jesda's favorite... Creame Ale. Then you also have the lights, and Malt Liquor, and the seasonal brews and spiced beers and fruit beers... the list goes on forever. I'm generally a man that loves good beer, but my budget and their preferences mandates that when I'm drinkin w/ my buddies it's usually Corona, Coors ORIGINAL (Fux0r on the light beers), or Nati Ice. You should all try some of the specialty beers and get out of the name brands if you want to find out what type of beer you really like as far as REAL beer is concerned. And for the record, Heini isn't even that dark a beer, let alone a heavy beer.

As far as lagers go, I like to put a few bottles of Kokanee in the freezer for an hour and pour it into a frozen mug. Its absolutely perfect in the summer.

A shame I can only get it in the pacific northwest and western canada.

Guiness is my preferred dark beer, but I absolutely LOVE Ziegenbach, anyone from Texas should know what I'm talking about! Its best to buy it, put it in the fridge for a week, then let it warm up slightly and kill a 6 pack Sam Adams just sucks, its supposed to taste just like Ziegen, but its a poor poor imitation. Oh, and Heineken is FAR from dark. When your full from one beer, THAT is a good dark beer.

A good dark beer should be a meal in a bottle.

I live in the hometown of Anheuser-Busch, so our market selection is very limited. I guess most people here dont mind drinking fermented urine, since the company does so much for the city.

Cant speak for the Cream ale, but the regular Sam Adams is awfull. I drink, Budlight, Ice House, High Life on a rare occasion, but recently Busch Lite. I really dont mine the water downed taste.

Ya, I had some and hated it too. I thought it tasted like liquid candy but bitter. It wasn't the worst I've ever had though. One time I bought a 30pack of "Old milwaukee's special reserve" fu@k they should have just called it camel piss. Actually I don't really like anything sam adams makes. And Jesda how can ya be puttin down budweiser I mean come on everybody likes "the diesel'
