if you tell paypal within 30 days you have a decent chance of getting most of your money back, eventually

*cough* experience *cough*

You are relying on a weak tracking system that is now trying to track a package halfway around the world. It's not going to be accurate. Hell, even the UPS one for domestic stuff isn't accurate. I bet you the pipe shows up a week before it says it was delivered on the tracking system, lol.

not ebay, tell paypal (even tho ebay bought paypal, they will swear up and down that they arent the same company nor are they affiliated)they email you and the seller, and give him 10 days to reply and 'prove' that he sent the item or resolved it otherwise...if he doesnt reply, then it is ruled in your favor and they give your money back *IF* the seller has money in his account, and his account will be frozen until you get paid back your money minus 2 paypal transfer fees...

im still waiting on about $500 from a botched sale in Aurora, Il around april (was a dark blue 93 coupe w/. black interior ... i paid the guy 2700 via paypal, then he sold it locally... you can imagine how pissed i was, as my flight from japan happened to have a layover at OHare, and i was going to just drive the rest of the way to Mass from there... end of story, the guy stopped answering phone and emails, and i had to get on a later flight with a CA block in tow, and the security people didnt like it all that much

couldnt make something like that up

All these bad stories about Paypal and hitandruncrew is why I dont use Paypal anymore. This guy sold me a really busted intercooler for alot of $ because he said it had no leaks. I didnt receive it 2 months later and he stopped responding to my e-mails. I tried contact all five different numbers he has for ebay and Paypal. But they were all either disconnected or wrong person. I finally filed a Paypal dispute because ebay didnt care. A week later Paypal said it was shipped to me. I thought great we're getting somewhere. But almost two months later I received it. I lokk on the package date and it is a week after I filed the dispute. I open the box wich is too small for the item and first thing I notice is a big *** hole where the intercooler must have been in a front end collision. You could see it had been run like this because the whole backside of the intercooler was black, a picture I did not see. I called Paypal and they said the would reveiw it. Since they said he shipped it it was out of their hands. Anyhow, $700 later with lots of welding and a few new rows it works, but all the piping needs to be replaced cause it looks like when it was crashed it got mangled up.

Moral of the story: DON'T BUY FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL, HE IS TRASH AND KARMA WILL COME BACK TO HIM WHEN HE GETS BACK IN THE STATES.

for what its worth, APO shipping can take awhile if you ship it super cheap (like months if you go bottom rate)

but I'd say the evidence thus far indicates its not the APO shipping causing the bulk of the delays

If you guys want the guy is in Okinawa, Japan judging from what I've read here and most likely an enlisted marine. I used to live there and if you want can easily get a number to PMO (the military police) or OSI depending on whether he a marine or in the air force. It is true that APO shipping does take forever, I've waited for up to 3 months for my relatives to ship me something via the military postal service.

Do you still have this cold pipe. Will it work from a FMIC or is it designed for the stock SMIC. OLD thread beware.

I bought wheels from this guy and I thought he screwed me too. It took over two months to get my wheels. I went looking on some of the forums and found the guys number. He was pretty surprised that I had his number. If you want it I will give it to you.

post it up on the forum anyone who needs it should have access to him. I knew there was something sketchy with someone whose name is "hit and run."

also I am not sure on this one but an enlisted man once told me that if you are using the APO shipping to ship commercial items you can get in a **** load of trouble.....so if thats the case then you could turn him in.

I work at the military post office and you guys are right. If you sell a couple of items here and there nobody really cares, but if you are selling stuff like everyday then you can lose all your APO privelages which means sending those parts through whichever country you are located in. There has been some talk in our military newspaper about it but as long as you aren't overdoing it nobody will say anything. You could turn him in if you wanted to but remember sometimes these people have access to parts you can not find readily, then if you turn him in remember the shipping price he will have to charge you when he loses that right. Just a thought. I also bought some stuff from him and received my stuff within a couple of weeks. OH and shipping from an APO doesn't take all that long. No matter how we ship items to you in the States they shouldn't take much longer then 7-10 days. When items get shipped to us sometimes it could take up to 4 - 6 weeks because it will go by boat. However all out items will fly no matter what. Even if we send it slow rate it will still fly then go slow rate once it hits New York.

well I've had military guys ship me stuff from japan before and they have all charged me rates that would get stuff shipped through the mail but some of them have shipped it APO anyway... which pisses me off .

Hey Top-secret that goes the other way too unfortunately. Most people won't even ship to us at APOs and when they do it is outrageous and usually they charge us the international rates like $50 for a strut bar and that is just to ship it. It gets even more upsetting when they tell us it is too much of a hassle to ship to the military (I REALLY NEED SOME DAMN SEAT BRACKETS BUT IT IS TOO MUCH OF A HASSLE) but they have that right so what can we do. The only thing we can do is post their sorry butts on this forum and warn others about it.
