First off i bought that takeda intake.

Installing it get to step in the instructions. INstalling a M6 isolation mount to the ECU mount.

Well, I am stuck. The mount has screws on both sides. I have no idea how it is suppose to mount with a screw that is already on the body of the car. THe Picture they hasit flush against the top screw on the ECU mount.

Did they literally remove the existing screw?

So stock air box goes back on i will call tech tomorrow hopefully.

#2 put it all back on and low and behold my windows auto up function isnt working,

#3 This is like a side note. I got tail overlays and i let the vinyl touch each side well removing from backing. Like an idiot i pulled and tore the vinyl #2 set is on the way cause Jibs is a toss bucket. (Thanks LBC your awesome btw.)

Anyone offer any help with the intake mount thingy

Instructions = http://www.takedausa.com/media...L.pdf

I am on step 7.

1) I think you are right, use the existing mount screw (or atleast give it a try to see if it works)

2) Its not a list of every issue you can have, but we try and keep it up to date, the Altima FAQ page... It has the info for this... http://forums.altimas.org/zerothread/349912

1. Push the ignition switch to the ON position.2. Open the window more than halfway byoperating the power window switch.3. Pull the power window switch and hold it toclose the window, and then hold the switchmore than 3 seconds after the window isclosed.4. Release the power window switch. Operatethe window by the automatic function toconfirm the initialization is complete.5. Perform steps 2 through 4 above for otherwindows.

3) If you would have emailed me right when it got stuck (i have blackberry) i would have told you how to fix it silly!

3)I WAS JUST SO DAMN EXCITED lol

i put them both on, i still have that issue around the lip on our tails. air stuck when the lens comes to the edges and dips in then out again.

Need to know how to fix that come the second set.

I have learned that soapy water and the hair dryer(heat) are my friend

1) well i need that rubber mount piece or the intake wont fit properly. so i would either have to go buy 1 or wait for their tech support to message me back.

2) that seems way to complicated. but out i go with the BB in hand while on nico lol.

Make your own. If what I am thinking is correct, you are working in the back right corner of your engine, on the mount that connects basically to the inside-side of the car.

I bought a used Intake and it was missing that mount. So I went to Lowe's and bought a pack of metal washers and a pack of rubber washers. I put a couple rubber washers on the bolt, then 10 or so metal washers to build the space needed, then added more rubber then attached it. Works perfect and cost about $3, the rubber washers were most of the cost though.

I will call it 6 characters

We do HD only if I know exactly what I want, but if I ever need help finding something that would work for a certain application the HD people never know what they are talking about. Some know a TON (The paint guy at the local HD is very very knowledgeable) but the regular associates on the floor must just turn over faster at HD then Lowe's so they don't pick up as much information.

this is totally off topic but,

I work for HD obviously, It takes time to learn thing if you havent come from the field. I know that here in the Toronto GTA where Lowes has just come in the last 2 years it is a different story. They stole a huge amount of our associates, its business however, I know that we have very good training and the associates probably have the theory knowledge and dont have the practical.

Technically I can tell you how to build or repair a house, repair a tool but I lack the huge amount of practical work. So if you go in and want someone that knows what they are doing, look for someone with a big number badge, go to the pro desk or find someone in the store that have the knowledge of everything. They are out there and yes HD and lowe is a stepping stone for most people turn over is huge somehting like 40% around here.

Meh you need help ask me here bro :P

On Topic. I emailed them the same night i had the problem, the category manager replied to me and said a tech would be getting in touch with me. So 2 days after I got an email from a tech and he said he was shipping me the porper male female part and he needed my address. I relied right away but they havent replied to me from that email yet.

LBC, Dangeris (anyone else for overlays) - i noticedthat some of the edges on the overlay are breaking away from the light. Just heat em up again till i get the replacement set from LBC ?

And the lip on the light anyway to easily get that to work better on the next set. I found that vinyl wasnt sticking when i was doing those parts. Would i need to heat the vinyl more?

Can i over stretch the vinyl ?

Thanks in advance

I put a full clear bra on the front of my car so like putting on 8 overlays at once, haha.

YES you can over stretch it. I started with the small pieces for my mirrors and I completely ruined the one. The trick is to do LONG GRADUAL stretches. I had just grabbed the corner and started to pull and I stressed the vinyl in a 1 sqin spot (call it 5 sq CM Mr. Canada, haha) and ruined it. But really...I think you can get the vinyl to stretch to about 175% of its original length, you just need to make sure to do LARGE areas. Also, another hint, it isn't a women, don't get all touchy feelly with it. That is how I messed up one of the smaller areas on my bumper, I kept grabbing it and moving my hands all over to get it to stretch out pretty. The corners just wouldn't stick well after that...I have yet to buy a secondone but when I do I am going to leave 1 inch of paper backing on the end of the vinyl sheet to use as my grip strip. Once I get out to the end I will remove it and stick it.
