Backwards Headlights...?

I have a 93 240 convertible and the headlights are a little confused. I had to replace the rods on both sides because someone had broken them before I got it, but now the headlights go up when the switch is off and down when the headlights are turned on. If I press the switch to raise them up with no lights on they'll raise up, but then if you turn the headlights on, they'll go down.Anyone know what's the deal with it...?Thanks,Jon

Sounds like when you installed the new rods you did not resync the headlight/popup switch.

1. Turn the headlights off (under your conditions they should pop up) 2. disconnect negative battery cable3. Loosen hex nut holding headlight rod to motor.4. Lower headlights (they should just push down)5. Retighten hex nuts, reconnect negative ground

The two swithches should now be in sync.
