since i didnt get the premium package in the car.. only the convenience.. i dont ahve any of that fancy stuff. but i was wondering.. how do u go about installing a backup camera and monitor in the car? can u do that? is it expensive?

Yes it can be done, but you'll need some type of screen to view it on, there are alot of options... the most popular is some type of Navigation system (AVic-D3, Avic-Z2, Kenwood, Eclipse, etc). Then you can hook up a rear view camera to the nav system, and most of them will automatically turn on when your car is in reverse.... The premium package is cool, but IMHO, the technology package is a waste of money! You get more for much less if you install an aftermarket system! check out my Avic-D3 install guide!

You can just purchase a camera and monitor, RVs have been using these things for years, try:
