have a 2004 qx56 and all of a sudden the back up camera is not working correctly. the screen shows bright colored vertical lines and is not viewable. all was fine yesterday. is this something you can fix yourself?

What has happened since it last worked? Is the camera dirty on the lense? I don't know how long the cameras generally last (I assume longer than 4 years), but if the camera is bad it's easy to change. If it's something in the BCM or camera module, it's a little more difficult but shouldn't be a problem. The hardest part will be to figure out what is worng.

What does the manual say to do?

the sensor beeping sound still occurs and the navigation system is fine. it only sat in our garage so i am not sure what happened. the lense is in tact and clean. i will look at the manual. i am hoping it is a loose connection or something simple. i have to take it in soon anyway. thank you for your help.
