Backup Camera for 2011 Versa

I've just bought a brand-new 2011 Versa 1.8SL, equipped with the factory NAV unit. Does anyone know if this is already equipped to handle a backup camera - i.e. the wiring is already run to the rear of the car, or there is a connection on the NAV unit itsefl.

I've done a search on the forum, and also scoured the handbook, but cannot find anything that sheds light on this topic. Beginning to suspect this means extensive work if I want to add a camera

The factory nav doesn't come with the backup camera? Odd. I'm not familiar with the add-on packages for the versa. You may want to try posting this in the Versa section. And check the service manual which you can find here:

You certainly should be able to add it, but it if doesnt' currently exist on your ride, I'm guessing you'll have to run the wiring yourself. It's not a terribly difficult job, but it might take an hour or two...

I was thinking the same ,I bought 2011V sl Hb with navigation for 15k I don't know if I payed to much for it ,but I was thinking about a back up camera ,and I saw a rear mirror with camera for $40 in ebay or change ,up grade the Gps for one with camera for $360
