When towing a trailer, it would be useful to be able to view it occasionally while driving using the backup camera.

Is there any way of doing this?

Sure, but you may drop your transmission when you force it into reverse at highway speeds. Ha, just kidding.

You would have to run a relay to a toggle switch, then you can toggle the power to the camera separately should you want to view the trailer while driving. I've done this with a wireless back-up camera system and added an additional camera in the front. Reason being was to prevent my wife from "accidentally bumping" into the wall again :slap: . My system is wireless, so all I needed to do was run an extra camera (of the same brand) and wire it directly to a toggle switch. Now I can toggle the camera on/off whenever we are parking and need to see how much more distance we have in the front before hitting anything. :woot:
