Backseat seat belts

i just recently bought a 90 240sx and im kinda confused by the seatbelts for the backseats there seems to be like two parts theres the shoulder strap and the lap belt but their not connected together and i cant seem to figure out how they go together is this normal. and if so how do they connect to make a full seat belt (meaning the shoulder and lap belt connected as one)any info whould be great

i dont have any pics right now but i can try gettin some later cuz im at workand its kinda hard to describe how they are exactly.

its like the part of the seat belt that goes around your waist can be fastened then the part that goes over your shoulder isnt attached to the part that goes around your waist and theres no place to fasten it to

am i makin any sense or shoul i try to get pictures kinda hard to do right now cuz im at work

yes there except it has a weird button tap at the end of it almost like its suppost to latch onto sumthing

look where the lap belt connects, on the adjuster part theres a receptacle for the button thing thats on the shoulder belt. try that

i also have a '90 and i was also confused as to this, all you have to do is move the belt part on the lapbelt out of the way and on the metal part that clicks into the locking part, there is a cut out circle that the shoulder part slides into

yea, if you are referring to the notch in the metal there SHOULD be a hook that fits perfectly in there, if not im not sure then

remove the seats....

ok i was able to fix it thanx for the help i had the same question about how to even fit people back there but i figured id fix the seat belts incase anyone decided to actually squish back there the back seat seems almost pointless

once i got my 240 i came on here and asked the same question...they should just kinda snap together kinda, take the shoulder belt and try to fit it by the metal part of the lap belt(sorry if thats confusing)

i just took the top part off of the seatbelts. it was just a hassle. because nobody knew how to use them when they got in the backseat. so i just use the bottom part only

i just woulda removed the whole assembly

but i guess if your goin somewhere (a party, vaca or just cruisin with buddies) it might be useful to have

I got rid of emin my s13 Hatch. I bus people around once in a while, but all the seatbelts do is get in the way. Took them out, and visiblility in my quarter windows improved a lot, not to mention the buckles aren't a nuisance to whoever sits on them anymore.

LMAO i have had the same question going on in my head also. where the heck do they attach to? i just layed them on the back part of the seats.
