Backlight of radio screen not working properly. '08 AC, non-navigation screen.

The orange screen in my car is starting to go out. Pretty much every time I turn the car on, part of the screen is lit up but it looks like there are parts that aren't working. It brightens up and goes back to normal if I give it a few hard taps. What could be the issue and is there a way for me to fix it? Thanks!

I don't know if this can be fixed, but if you need a stock replacement stereo I can help out. I just replaced mine with a double DIN unit, and have the stock deck just sitting in my garage. If you can pay shipping plus a few bucks it's all yours!
