ok so my 24e runs like s***. it back fires through the intake and when i try to get on it, it bogs horribly. i replaced plugs, dist cap, dist rotr, checked timing, ran seafoam through it and also checked the firing order. nothin really seams to help. it also has a rough idle. any ideas thanks...

did you check ignition timing or cam timing? Your ignition timing could be spot on but if your cam timing is off, you could get those symptoms. How'd you check the timing? Light? By eye?

I live in NW Washington. Where you located? I might be able to go look at it.

It's NOT the fuel pump. This is not a carbed engine.

Either your timing is way off, or your timing chain jumped a tooth (I really can't see that happening).

Get a Factory Service Manual, a timing light and check it.
