Like the titles says my car backfired and would not start. I checked the cylinders for compression. 90ish, 125, 125, 125 I thought the head gasket was blown and I pulled it off. The gasket is fine and the head is fine. Could the ring be blown?? And any idea why my car would backfire extremely loud (loud enough to echo a couple times). All I did was change my front crank seal and put everything back together to start it.

Your valve timing is way off. Realign your cam as per the FSM at cylinder #1 TDC on the compression stroke.

how could that be, I didn't mess with the timing at all, I just changed the fron crank seal on the timing cover.

Well it looks like the exhaust valve hit the piston and bent/burnt at the same time. I'm checking it out for sure tomorrow.
