Did your car come with the ca18det stock, or you did an engine swap. What mods have you done to your engine?

Here are few things you can check for.

1)If the fuel pressure regulator is acting up, it can cause this problem.2) intermittent ignitor3)intermittent coil4) BAD GROUND OR MISSING GROUND5)old and abused vaccum lines or incorrect vaccum lines.6) Cas plug is kinda loose which can result in this kind of behavior.

Good luck,

She is Total Stock accept for a Grounding Kit..

The Car came stock witha CA18DET and was sold under the 200SX badge in SA.Its more of a Backfire throught the exhuast , The missfire/backfire causes the motor to rock badly.. The Car has had its head removed and the whole valve train replaced after a stikky valve problem..

The car has about 144-000 K/M on the clock and has had regular oil changes, and a refurbished turbo.... It pulls strong till redline then stats backfiring at idle no matter what the Temp of the motor is.

when my motor was running its best, it misfired at idle, and ran fine till 7k/rpm... i re-gapped my plugs and it fixed the problem, but only for a month or so.... so i dont know.
