backfire, and sputtering.

ok so i got the motor swap to a lower milage KA, when i got it back they didnt set the timing so i did, and it didnt run good, weird, or i didnt set the timing right, but i think i did. and so we advanced the timing so i could drive it, but it backfires threw the intake and sputters when trying to give it gas. thought it was a bad TPS, nope. so ill post a video up soon so you hear it, i dont think i described the problem well enough.

but if anyone understood that, then help me out. im also having a friend look at everything, and if we dont find anything then he suggested taking it to a good mechanic to look over everything!

^ l0l, well if i set the timing would the disrtibutor be bad if it still runs like that, and would SOHC distributer fit a SOHC,

its your timing and yes a SOHC dizzy fits a SOHC a dual cam does not

Does the sputtering occurs on most speeds? during idling or starting?

if the sputtering occurs during starting and idling and gone when the engine revs up it is a problem of a Bad Valve, however if the engine sputtering occurs only while driving but not on most speeds then its a problem of fuel injection system.
