how do you fry your hard drive????

RAID 5 on mine comp running linux. Most likely will never see this problem.

You can fry your hard drive very easy if it runs too hot. Bad air circulation.

Dimon,

Linux or not linux doesn't really matter. Software RAIDs are even worse than hardware.

I am aware. But i am too poor to afford an array of drives, so RAID0 just makes me feel better about myself. =P

raid 0=kick *** speed levels.

raid 10 = kick a$$ speed levels + redundancy...not to mention a kick in the pants cost at a minimum of 4 drives and the raid controller. *cries*
