My back windows arenot working. If both of the buttons on the console control 1 window each, it seems strange that they both would be out at the same time. I havent located the fuses yet, to chechk those, but i found an interesting "thing" in my trunk. It resembles a stereo amp in a way, kinda long and slender, something electrical. is this possibly the motor that operates the back windows? If it is I guess I need to check power in & power out to determine if this unit is bad. if so, are these available from a retail source? I am looking for a direction from simplest solution foward.....Any advice appreciated.Steve

Have you tried LOCK button next to front window buttons on the driver's side door panel? I have a write up somewhere.

hey folks, thanks alot................sorry for not reading more & posting less, just got the car & kinda excited. I cannot beleive the info on this site, it is great. i am 49 yrs old, not very mechanically inclined, and a working stiff family man that owes most folks......! {hopefully, none here........lol}. The car is really fairly decent for 178,000 miles, bought from a police department who seized it from an 18 yr old kid. {hate that part}even got his baseball cleats & zune..............engine tired, leaks oil like a siff, but runs good and seems like a fairly solid platform to work from. So, try not to get put out w/ my ignorance and i'll try to keep it cool. Thanks to everyonesteve

I think this happens to all of us eventually. I was on lunch at work and tried dropping the 1/4 windows to get some ventilation and then couldn't put em back up. I thought it was the switch or wiring or something

I have no idea why the window lock is even on our cars. I thought window locks were kinda for sedans to keep your bratty kids in the backseat from rolling down the windows and throwing things at passerby? We're just two-seaters, if someone if screwing with the only other window in the car just slap them!
