mine dont work as well but i know the issue with mine, the wires broke on the connector that goes to the transmission, so like the other guys said check it to see if its unplugged or broken wires like mine.

I just went out to the garage and checked my old ka (manual). It's going to be on the passenger side and it only has 2 wires coming off of it. You can reach it from under the car. It's going to be the one furthest back.

What R33 transmission? the rb20 transmission is the same as the ka transmission. Either way, they are still going to be on the passenger side. There are three plugs,: VSS, neutral, and reverse.

I also have an RB25... Normally I'd post a RB related question like this in the RB section. It's also on the passenger side and its either the 2nd or the last plug.
