I have had my 2011 Murano LE for about 8 months now. Have done 4, 1200 miles trips with it so far plus my routine daily driving. With the BDL bypass kit I have I can actually be traveling forward down the road and viewing behind me with the rear camera. Really is terrific as I can see drivers coming up behind me that I may not see due to the inherent blind spots of the Murano. ANYWAY, I often wished I could change the rear camera's/monitor brightness, contrast, or "blacken" the screen a bit, especially when in Florida where it is usually very Sunny / bright.. Well, today I realized that while the back-up camera is activated and working (you are seeing back-up view in the monitor) / in reverse, you can actually go to settings and at that time only, there are settings available for the rear back-up camera/monitor. I was easily able to decrease the brightness, tint, enrich contrast a tad and there is a blacken setting... Geeeeeeeeeez, the change in settings I made gave me a very enhanced monitor display ............ way better then the display I had been dealing with since I acquired the Murano.
I did just go over the Owner's Manual again and found this mentioned. I did read the manual when I purchased the Murano but missed the following key point....
"With the Rearview monitor on" (you have to be in reverse!) is a key point in the manual's instruction that I missed. Without that key point you would never see the setting page for the monitor in regard to the back-up camera.
