When I shift my 95 Q45 into reverse there is a small "clink" noise near the driver's side rear tire...and occasionally when I turn left. Just one clink, and it sounds sort of like a small pebble in the treads would sound. Any ideas? Ujoint ? Bearings? thanks for your help.

It could be your ABS which I undertstand does a self test on start up. My 94 does the same thing.

This noise just started two weeks ago so I wouldn't think it's the ABS unless there's something wrong.

Sometimes the brakes can make a simialr noise. If the handbrake isn't releasing completely, or has been tightened too much, it may be making the noise.

If the handbrake is off completely, look at the Disc pads & make sure they aren't sticking.

Well maybe...somebody at my house (not me) did forget to release the emergency brake the other day and drove it for a while that way.....

I hate when "Somebody at my house (not me)" does things like that. The cats never fill-up the vette, after a joy ride, and the dog leaves the radio, in th H2 on rap music stations.

If you have some minor mechanical skill, pop off the rear wheel, and remove the caliper and caliper bracket, then gently remove the drum. You might have to "persuade" it off, with a brass hammer, due to slight rusting of the hub. Check the little drum brake system, for the E-Brake.
