Back Seat Armrest Rattle

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hello,I have this annoying leather to leather friction noise with the back seat armrest. If i pull it down the noise stops. The dealership applied some leather conditioner on the armrest and all around it, but did not cure the problem. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestion is welcomed.Thank you

Mine was doing it also. I took a small hand towel, folded it up and placed it in between the "top" of the armrest and the rear seat. So when the armrest is folded up it creates pressure thus stopping the armrest from moving and making noise. It's nice to have the towel constantly in the car also.......you can wipe the inside of the windshield and the displays clean with it!!

Thanks Robert for the tip. Yes it is a possible solution, but I have a hard time considering such a solution for a "luxury" vehicle!

Mik,I am with you 100%. I have had more creaks, noises and issues with this "luxury" model car than my 200 Chevy Silverado truck ever had. And that truck had 170,000 miles when I sold it.

Yes, the build quality on the EX35 has been under par IMO.

My FX45 was pretty solid, but going to the EX, you can see that they cut some corners.
