So my stock 89' 240sx was off the road for a few months. The car was running really bad after some very cold weather here in Texas. Found that the injector for cylinder #2 was bad. I went ahead and replaced all my injectors on the SOCH. The car was running much better but not 100%. I went ahead and replaced the fuel filter, distributor cap, and the sparkplugs. I checked the gap on the plugs I pulled, cylinder #2 had a gap of .56, and I have read after searching that .44 is what is recommended cylinder #1 and 3# were good cylinder#4 was a little low at .42. My question is, what would have caused the gap on cylinder #2 to be so off? I am 90% certain that the bad injector on cylinder#2 was flooding the cylinder, due to the fact that a fair amount of gas poured out when I removed it. The car was still bogging down at take off after I replaced the injectors, I am pretty sure that was due to my plugs being fouled. I am going to change my oil tomorrow I have been using Valvoline Max Life 10W 30, is there another brand that would be any better for my stock KA24E? Any feedback is appreciated, Thank you.
